I lived a lonely and solitary life. I was homeless and thought I didn’t deserve anything better. I was living in cemeteries, and drinking to the bottom of any bottle I could find. I had been in the hospital many times for alcohol poisoning when I started praying for God to help me. It was then that I met a peer recovery coach who spoke of Jesus and got me into a program that could help me, and where I met a pastor who introduced me to ATC Flint. If it wasn’t for God working through this pastor and his compassion, I believe I would have been back on the street and drinking again.

After coming here and receiving Christ as my Savior, I finally realized that I am never alone. Christ is always here with me. With the help of staff and volunteers here at ATC, I am changing my life around and getting to know Jesus better.

My favorite verse is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
