I did not know God. I was thinking selfishly. I had been dealing with addiction for over sixteen years and it took a toll on me, particularly after I became a father and husband very quickly. I was in a dark place and alone. I had let my love for my addiction take precedence over my family. So much so, that I left and got my own place, which only made being alone that much worse. On a very dark day, sitting at home, something wanted me to end it. I looked at my phone and saw a picture of my daughter and realized that Jesus has given me a reason to live for.  I contacted my brother-in-law who brought me to Life Challenge Ministries. I have given my heart now to Jesus Christ!  I am following His Word and got baptized (for the first time) at church last month.  With the Lord’s help, I am becoming a better man and restoring my family relationships.  My favorite verse is John 15: 1-8 “I am the true vine, and my father is the gardener… This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
