Before I knew Christ, I was lost and hopeless—a darkness took over my life. I tried filling the void with drugs and alcohol. After 8 years clean, I fell back into that darkness, trying to fill the void. I realized I was missing something in my life. It was this realization that led me to Life Challenge.

I actually came to know Jesus in the hospital. After receiving Christ as my Savior, I was able to get clean and realize that while I was trying to fill that darkness and void, Jesus was waiting for me to turn it over to Him.

My favorite scripture is Romans 7:18-20: “For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.”

Amen very encouraging I have a daughter that is strung out on drugs and on Sunday will be one month that I haven’t heard anything from her but I’ve heard from the hospital that she has been there but this was very encouraging and she was saved in a praise dancer and I’m encouraged that God has his hands on her thank you
