Community Life

“One of the major differences between traditional recovery programs and our centers is our emphasis on recovery in community. We believe that addiction destroys community, this is why the healing process requires restoration and reconciliation–first with God, and then with others.”

Our program is designed to meet the needs of the mind, body and spirit of residents on their recovery journey

Our mission is to restore communities by bringing faith-based recovery to the addicted

Restoring Communities

Residents live, learn, work, play and pray together. The benefits of community living in our long-term residential recovery program are many:

  • Residents enter into a loving, supportive christian community
  • Residents learn how to re-establish their own network of broken relationships: to confront the hurts, hang-ups and bad habits that have resulted from an isolated, disconnected, and self-centered lifestyle
  • Residents come into a fresh, new, controlled environment that supports healing and health, away from toxic environments and triggers that have contributed to their life-controlling problems
  • Residents are able to connect with others who have walked the same path to freedom
  • Residents are provided skilled help to confront the destructive thoughts, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors that led to their life-controlling problems
  • Chapel services, christian growth classes, church attendance, and christian mentoring help residents discover God’s truth for themselves
  • Residents are given the opportunity to cultivate the life-practice of personal prayer and daily devotions
  • Residents take part in work programs designed to teach a positive work ethic, responsibility, and pride in a job well-done, regardless of the tasks they are assigned to complete. Because many work programs generate funding for Adult & Teen Challenge programs, students are given the opportunity to contribute to the cost of their own recovery, which gives them a sense of worth and dignity
