Jeff Bonzelaar

Executive Director

Jeff Bonzelaar serves as the Executive Director of Adult & Teen Challenge/Life Challenge Ministries and has been employed with the ministry for over 35 years. He is the Great Lakes Regional Representative for Adult & Teen Challenge, USA, and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He holds both a MA and a DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary. He has been married to Lori for 33 years and has four wonderful sons, two beautiful daughters-in-law, and two very special granddaughters.

John Richardson

Managing Director

John has served at Life Challenge since 2010. As a director, he manages the administration area of the ministry including HR, facilities, development, and finance . John is a graduate of the University of South Dakota and did his post-graduate work in philosophy at the University of Toronto. He teaches bible classes and wisdom literature. John is married to Brenda and is the proud father of two boys, Ian and Colin, both of whom also work for the ministry.

Tom Litzinger

Clinical Director
LP Psychologist, CAADC CCS DP, MS, ED.D

Licensed psychologist specializing in mental health and substance abuse counseling, with particular expertise in youth services. PhD in Community Care, Counseling & Traumatology from Liberty University’s School of Behavioral Sciences.

Ken Keene

Chaplain/Director of Faith-Based Education
Certificate in Bible, B.R.E., MDiv.

Ken has served at LCM for more than 25 years. He is currently serving as Chaplain and director of all of our faith-based programming. He is also currently serving as an adjunct instructor at Moody Impact- an affiliate of Moody Bible Institute. 

Ken is the husband of Rachel and the father of four–three sons and a daughter. 

Ryan Klikus

Director of Resident Services
CPRM-DP

Ryan is the Director of Resident Services at Life Challenge Ministries, where he is dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey of recovery and transformation. With a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University Northwest, Ryan brings a strong educational foundation along with a heart for service.
He is De-escalation Certified, a Welle Trainer, and Lifesaver Certified in CPR—demonstrating his commitment to safety, crisis response, and trauma-informed care in residential settings. In his leadership role, Ryan works closely with residents and staff to create a structured, compassionate, and growth-oriented environment. Ryan is a devoted husband to his wife, Stephanie, and proud father to their son, Samuel.
Ryan graduated the program in 2021.
