Dear friends,
It is with both sadness and joy I announce Pastor Phil and Amy Hall’s resignation from Life Challenge Ministries. They have served faithfully for the last seven years in various capacities, most recently as Flint Campus Director (Phil) and Development Manager (Amy).
They have worked hard, well, and as unto the Lord, pouring themselves into both the community and the broken people to whom they have been entrusted. They will be missed. The exciting news is that they will continue serving God’s people on a different front, traditional church ministry.
Please pray for them in this time of transition as well as for our Flint campus. The Halls have made great strides forward, and we plan to continue serving this incredible city and surrounding area with hope, help, and healing in Jesus’s name.
We will miss you, Phil and Amy (and Kira, Ava, Riley, Charlotte, and Sam)! May the Lord prosper you abundantly!
Together for his glory,
Rev. Jeff Bonzelaar

“Restoring communities by bringing faith-based recovery to the addicted”
An Open Letter to the Flint Community and Supporters of Life Challenge Ministries
Our life is based on these principles – Jesus, family, hard work, integrity, and loving others. Amy and I have had the honor and privilege to carry out these principles serving at one of the most incredible ministries. For the past seven years, we have humbly walked beside men whose shoes we once walked in, witnessing the power of God changing and molding them into His image.
God has called us to an incredible place in life, and we have done one of the most difficult things in ministry thus far – we resigned from the place that started us on this journey and changed our lives forever. Leaving our roles at Life Challenge is heartbreaking, yet we are excited for where God is leading.
We want to thank you all for the love and support you have shown us personally and to the ministry. So many of you have walked with us, encouraged us while helping us to create a place where men can find rest from the chaos of their lives and turn from their self-destructive ways while putting their faith in God. Because of your generous support, we can bring faith-based recovery to our communities and lead men to find a freedom that can only come from the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We leave an incredible team who have faithfully served with us and will be greatly missed. We are thankful for the leadership of Pastor Jeff and know his vision for serving Flint will continue. We will always wholeheartedly support the work of Adult & Teen Challenge/Life Challenge Ministries.
In our last few weeks at ATC/LCM, before we officially move onto our new roles in traditional church leadership, we will continue to pray for ATC/LCM trusting God will cover all the ministry’s needs, leaders, staff, and residents. We are sure God will use our family’s testimony to reach people from all walks of life and help them build a firm foundation in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Blessings,
Phil & Amy
Thank you Ps. Phil and Amy for the great work you did at Flint Life Challenge. I’m sure you imparted so much into many lives. It was a privilege to meet you both. I really appreciate your allowing me the privilege of coming to speak to the guys. It was always a great experience – meeting and talking to them, and sharing God’s Word with them. I hope I will be able to return under the next director. I pray you and your family will be as great a blessing – or greater – in your next ministry as you were at Life Challenge here in Flint!
We have enjoyed getting to know Phil and Amy and have appreciated their leadership of Life Challenge here in Flint. They have approached every task with a “how can I help out” attitude. They are true servant leaders.
We appreciate the men assisting us with our Storehouse food distribution ministry every week for the past 20 years. Also, the men mow the lawn around the church each week, for this we are very thankful.
We are praying that the transition in leadership on the Flint Campus will go well and we are anxiously awaiting what God will continue to do through the Hall family.

Continuing to 🙏🏽 for Life Challenge !
Phil and Amy,
May God’s hand continually be upon your heads as you make this transition. God let you know your season has ended in one place so he can continue to grow you some place else.
May God bless you and your family as you grow together.
Phil!!! I don’t know if you remember me or not but I was at life challenge for 6 months a few years back with Cody Alvarado, Sammy, thomas, stegge, Caleb, Thomas,Aaron and many more amazing children not the Lord 🙏. I decided that God had other Plans for me at that 6 month period. You Phil tried to convince me to stay and I just wanna say I appreciate you so much for that. Even tho I left on good terms just the energy and love you put out for all the reborn children of God at life challenge is truly amazing. I am so proud of you and your wife Amy and your family for what God has in plan for y’all. It was a true honor and blessing to have met such god loving hard working servants of God ❤️🙏😊. All the men who have walked through those doors have been positively affective by you and your familys blessing and energy. Not to mention the wisdom and knowledge the Lord has blessed you with to be able to teach men that truly want change and seek out Father. So much love for y’all. God bless y’all ❤️🙏😉…
