“I grew up in the church as a young kid. I went to catechism and was an altar boy. I moved out on my own at 19 years old and did not look back to the church or to God. At that point, I was living a chaotic life, but I never went back to church regularly and I did not have God in my life. I started to work for a “good life” and started a family. Trauma and tragedies happened in my life that ended up leading to the enemy getting me alone and isolated. My dad died unexpectedly… I didn’t even get to say goodbye. He was my best friend and was only 63 years old. Covid took us from a two-income family to a one income and led to us homeschooling our special needs son. At this time, I was already drinking a lot after my dad’s passing, but I started to gamble more than ever and became hopelessly addicted like never before. That led to my wife and I getting a divorce after 20 years which led me to becoming more isolated. Eventually, everything ran out and I had nothing left. Feeling like a loser, worthless, and hopeless, I tried to take my life on Feb 13th, but… God had other plans. That was the day Jesus Christ intervened. He showed me a vision of what life could be like. So, I opened up to the people that matter most in my life, and they brought to Life Challenge on Feb 25th. It was scary. This was the first time in my life I didn’t have a job, a car, or my own house, but I started to realize that this was going to be the cost to get me to God. Christ is my anchor of hope, slowly resurrecting my heart, renewing my mind, and slowly giving me a new way of life. As long as I put God first in my life, everything will fall into place. Jesus saved my life”
