Although raised in a Christian home, I never had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The world looked more fun, and I rebelled at an early age. My teenage drinking soon turned into a full blown heroin addiction.
It wasn’t until my fourth stay in a rehab facility that I really cried out to God. However, once I was on my feet again, I went right back to my old ways.
But God wouldn’t let me go. He kept after me like a shepherd following his sheep. I was told I would not be able to see my two-year-old son anymore unless I got help. I knew things had to change so I entered Life Challenge. Now Jesus is real to me, and I love him.
Philippians 1:6 says, “…he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” I am a new person and I trust Him to finish the work. And my son? He spends every weekend with me here at Life Challenge! I am blessed!
