Emily Stanley

My home is Dayton OH where I was raised in a Christian home. I attended private schools most of my school years, only to start attending public schools which led me to a wrong group of friends. The parties I attended introduced me to drugs and other sinful behavior. By the time I was 20, I was a full blown heroin addict. The addiction resulted in homelessness, abuse, jail, and several treatment centers.

August 2009, I was charged with my first set of felony charges. Instead of sentencing me to jail, the judge sentenced me to Life Challenge. The program seemed unrealistic and strict in the beginning but God began to do a work in my life.
I graduated December 23, 2010. Life Challenge taught me that life can be very challenging but God is always on your side. I’ve learned to keep my eyes on Jesus and not on people and stay in God’s word.

I am now back at home with my son. I love him so much! I attend a great church where I attend weekly Bible studies and a “Second Chance” program. Doors are beginning to open to assist in working with young people and a local juvenile detention program.
God is doing amazing things! I am so grateful for salvation. I will be forever grateful for the hope Life Challenge gave me.
