“My brother, who was my best friend, passed away in November.
I started drinking from the time I woke up until I blacked out. I lived a sinful life filled with alcohol and marijuana and was hurting those close to me with words and actions, which I didn’t even remember, because
I drank all the time. One day, in a drunken rage, I destroyed my room and my parents said, “that’s enough – you need help that we cannot give you.”
I always thought that if I went to church and tried to be a good person, that would be enough. Since coming to Life Challenge Ministries and now having a relationship with Jesus, I can honestly say accepting Him as Lord has saved my life. I never opened the Bible before I came and now, I have a relationship with God that gives me peace in my heart that I thought I would never get back.
The biggest change in my life is that I talk to God throughout the day and I am building a solid relationship with Him. I have gone from just knowing about him to now being in his Word, so that I may gain wisdom and apply his Word to my life to guide my decisions. “
My favorite verse is Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…”
