I have heard the name of Jesus all my life, but I didn’t know Him. I always turned my back and walked away, even as a child. My life was in chaos. I lived a lie – in and out of Teen Challenge centers trying to get off drugs even while I was serving on staff. Through a back injury I became addicted to morphine, and then returned to my crack addiction.

Since making my way back once again to Life Challenge, I have renewed hope. I am humbled that He would accept me after all the times I turned from Him. I now know that I can finally and forever surrender to the Lord.

I am praying that He will keep me and heal all the injuries I have caused through my sin. Daily I stand on this promise: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1).
