My dad introduced me to alcohol at the age of eight with sips from his glass. By fourteen he was handing me my own. It made me feel confident. I started drinking with friends. By nineteen I got the first of four drunk driving tickets. I realized then that I was an alcoholic, just like my Dad. By age 30, after hospitalizations, tornrelationships, and a near-death resuscitation during an alcoholic seizure, I found myself broken, hopeless and depressed. I had lost the will to live.
I finally cried out to God in desperation. He graciously rescued me from hell’s gates and brought me to Life Challenge – the best thing that has ever happened to me. I now have a personal relationship with him and he is restoring my relationship with my 16-year-old son and the rest of my family. I am now an Intern in the Marketing Department. I wake up in the morning with a purpose. I’ve found joy and peace in Christ. Many have prayed for me. I am living proof that God answers prayers.
